Most people find themselves busier today than ever before. This leaves many looking for ways to manage their stress, and then you're going to want to utilize these top five stress relief tips for busy people. They are quick and easy and should fit into your daily life without fuss.
Quick Tip #1 – Take Your Vitamins
Take a daily vitamin in the morning. This is a good step forward in maintaining energy throughout the day. Be certain it includes the B-complex vitamins, calcium, vitamin C and magnesium. Vitamins can be a quick and beneficial way to alleviate stress.
Quick Tip #2 – Listen to Music
Listening to music while you do your daily routines has been proven to provide people with stress relief benefits. Listening to music when you commute to work and back home, during dinner, exercise and even grocery shopping can help to relieve stress as you go about your day.
Quick Tip #3 – Use Breathing Exercises
Breathing exercises are excellent ways to relieve stress wherever you are. These are simple to learn and can be done the moment you feel tension rising. One effective breathing concept is to "inhale peace and exhale stress."
Quick Tip #4 – Learn to Say No
People can reduce their stress immensely if they would learn to say "no" to additional commitments of their time. It's often hard to do this if you're concerned about disappointing someone, but learning to do it diplomatically is easy. With a little practice you'll be managing your time more effectively and not over committing yourself for the sake of others. This also holds true for your family. If you feel that your child wants to take on another activity that you don't have time for, learning to say no will keep you stay stress free.
Most of our stress comes from being overscheduled. You're often filled with inner guilt or conflict when people want you to give some of your time to them, so it's difficult to say no without the fear of offending them. However, there are ways you can diplomatically say no, such as "I'm sorry.” “I can't do this right now" or "let me think about it and get back to you." This latter helps for those people who are particularly pushy.
Quick Tip #5 – Stay Positive
It's a proven fact that positive thinkers have less stress and experience better health. However, the problem is that many pessimistic people think that they are optimistic! Work to maintain a positive state of mind and you will find that your whole life will reduce in stress.
